Welcome to The Hayes Pet Friendly Holiday Cottages in Corbridge, Northumberland
Set amidst the beautiful landscapes and rolling countryside of Northumberland, the Hayes is a magnificent country house located on the outskirts of Corbridge, famous as the Roman Empire's most northerly settlement; and within a stone's throw of Hadrian's Wall. With 7 acres of garden, meadow and woodland there are breathtaking views to be taken in, and tranquil walks on the doorstep.
Our Self-Catering Holiday Cottages Accommodation and Features
We have two self-catering holiday cottages on offer; “Stable” and “Bothy”. On the first floor of both, there is a large double bedroom with a double bed, another bedroom with twin beds, and a shower room with WC and hand basin. All the bedrooms are large and airy, with ample storage space and large comfortable beds. On the ground floor of the stable, there is a large kitchen/lounge area, which is well equipped with all modern appliances. There is also a dining room with a small annexe with an extra bed in it. On the ground floor of the Bothy, there is a kitchen/dining room area, with a large dining table and all modern appliances. There is a lounge with an extra bed for a fifth person, and a cloakroom with WC and basin.
Our Self Catering Holiday Cottages’ Location in Corbridge, Northumberland
Corbridge has its famous bridge over the Tyne River and Aydon Castle is nearby. Hexham is the local market town and has a cattle market, a variety of shops, Queens Hall concert venue, an indoor swimming pool and leisure centre, a good garden centre, and the historic Hexham Abbey. Also, the remains of the old Roman town of Corstopitum are nearby. Hadrian's Roman Wall is but a few miles away, where you can visit forts at Vindolanda and Housesteads and Chesters. Peaceful unspoilt Northumberland is a region of spectacular castles and coastline and is ideal for walking. There are numerous other places of interest to visit, such as Kielder Water, and the Scottish Borders.
