The Westbourne is a traditional lakeland stone building built 1880. Situated just off the Dales Way beneath Biskey Howe View Point.  A lovely quiet area of Bowness but a 1 minute walk to shops, restaurants and pubs and 5 mins from Lake Windermere.

We have modernised the Westbourne sympathetically, trying to retain original features, but giving the rooms a more contemporary feel for todays customers. Modern comforts include large flat screen t.vs being introduced into every room, some rooms with kingsize beds, luxurious bedding and toiletries and eventually digital television when it arrives in the area.

Our main aim is to ensure our guests have comfort and a relaxing stay but also get out and about and sample the Lakes.  We offer printed booklets of small walks from the door all easy to moderate of the immediate areas, recommendations of places to visit and restaurants to try.

There is a guest lounge and conservatory where you can relax with magazines, books and have a drink from the bar.  Real fire in the winter and a garden to sit out in in the summer.  As we are licensed you can enjoy beers, wines and spirits or if you prefer a bottle of champagne in your room.

All dietry requirements can be catered for with prior notice.
Safe storage for motorbikes or cycles
Drying of wet walking cloths is available
Private parking for all guests.
