The main hotel building dates back to the 13th century when it was a manor house.Over the years facilities have been added to make a fine hotel boasting oak beams open fires and a welcoming ambiance.The village is to be found in a gentle valley at the edge of the 27000 acre Royal Forest of Dean and The Wye Valley.
