Welcome to our beautiful Eco Lodge in Ecuador
Hacienda Tinalandia lodging has a reception area and dining hall on Lower bank and the guest bedrooms and a reception hall are on the Upper bank. Next to the guest rooms/cabins there is a 9-hole golf course which is ideal for bird and butterfly watching and viewing the forests.
Our Eco Lodge has 16 rooms, each with their own unique style and charm. The lodge can accommodate uo to 25 guests.
The recreation hall is formed of an enormous interwoven network of "hard as stone" wooden floorboards. Card tables, several sofas and hammocks provide rest and relaxation after a long day of observation and adventure. A spectacular view from the screened windows spanning the length of the wall reveals the splendor of Tinalandia´s location. For those who choose to spend the night listening to the nocturnal symphony of birds and insects, an Old-World patio grants you an extended vista over the valley of the river Toachi.
Designed in the 1950's, Tinalandia provides clean rooms, private baths with hot water showers, and 24-hour electricity make this natural reserve as modern and comfortable as it is natural.
The meals at Tinalandia are wholesome, home-cooked, delicious dishes. Most of the fruits are collected from Tinalandia´s own gardens - we harvest only that which is necessary and leave the rest to drop to the ground for the birds and insects of the region. Most vegetables are bought in Quito from a hydroponic and organic French farm. A typical meal consists of soup, potatoes or rice, vegetables, and meat or fish.
Our Location
Our Eco Lodge is located on the Western slope of the the Andes, at the southern end of the Choco bio-region in Ecuador, South America. It is located only two and a half hours from Ecuador's capiatl city, Quito. It is ideal location for trips to the Galapagos islands.
