Welcome to our Luxury Self Catering in Oxfordshire Village
An old long redundant stone building has been tastefully turned into Turpins Lodge Cottage. Original beams remain, and the original stone work has been renovated and renewed, the pine floors conceal underfloor heating operated by the oil fired Aga/Rayburn in a fully fitted kitchen, including dishwasher, washer/drier and fridge. The luxury bathroom has a spa bath and shower with massage jets for your neck and back if you wish.
Our Oxfordshire Accommodation
The cottage has a fully compensated Theakson thermostat which balances the heating inside to the temperature outside. It is very warm and comfortable with the oil fired rayburn and underfloor central heating throughout. There are also heated towel radiators next to each vanity unit in both bedrooms and the bathroom.
Underfloor Central heating through-out as well as the Rayburn in the Kitchen and open woodburner in the Garden Room, make Turpins Cottage a very warm cottage in the colder weather while the thick stone walls keep it cool during the Summer months. (Air conditioning in the Garden Room if it does get too warm!)
Using the Rayburn - there are a selection of cookery books with tips on using your Rayburn to cook.
We supply you with all the essentials, washing up liquid, kitchen Roll, toilet roll, etc. ,
The Kitchen is fully fitted. There is a Spiral staircase leading to an upstairs Gallery with an additional television with surround sound and dvd player. The Kitchen is equiped with:

There are double doors leading into the Conservatory, where there is a wood burning stove. There is also a sofa which converts to a comfortable full size double bed if required. Dining table and chairs with window seat looking out to Turpins Lodge Riding School. The Bathroom is luxuriously fitted with a jacuzzi bath, shower with all round massage jets and is fully tiled. The mirror and vanity units are in limed oak. Double bedroom with vanity unit, fitted wardrobes,heated towel rail,flat screen tv. All towels and linen supplied. Both bedrooms have fully fitted wardrobes and the double room has fitted bedside units with radio alarm/cd player and bedside lamps. The Garden Room is a lovely light room to relax in. The ideal place for reading the paper or a good book!
Our Location in Oxfordshire
The Cottage is situated between the villages of Hook Norton, Milcombe, Sibford and Wigginton, next door to Turpins Lodge Riding School. Broughton Castle is about 3 miles, Sudeley Castle and Sulgrave Manor (home of George Washington's ancestors) are nearby.
Banbury and Chipping Norton are approximately 6 miles away and it is within 1 hour of Oxford, Warwick, with the historic Warwick Castle, Stratford upon Avon of William Shakespeare fame, Cheltenham (Cheltenham races)and Silverstone.. And within half an hour of Woodstock and Blenheim Palace, Stow on the Wold, Moreton in Marsh,and Bourton on the Water.
