Restored and furnished to be rented as a self-catering accommodation, Casa Via d’Água is located in the heart of Fajã Grande but it is reached only by a short footpath, ensuring peace and privacy. It sits surrounded by its own garden and neighbouring fields, with wonderful views of the countryside stretching up to the dramatic cliffs and waterfalls beneath which Fajã Grande nestles. A few minutes from home are natural rock sea swimming pools, a fresh water pool under the waterfalls, a couple of shops and restaurants and a Balneario with beach facilities and a natural sea-water swimming pool for children. All this lying under the orange sunset over the ocean...

The location is Fajã Grande, Europe's west-most village, one of the loveliest settings of all the Azores and simply the best place to be in Flores, the favourite one for both locals and tourists. Located on the seashore and at the centre of an outstanding network of footpaths, it is backed by a natural bowl with myriad cascades, tropical foliage and romantic pools.
Flores Island, a Biosphere Reserve, is an island of incomparable beauty, probably the most beautiful and preserved island of the Azores and one of the few unspoiled paradises on Europe.

accomodation and facilities

The house features 2 double ensuite bedrooms, a living room, a cosy kitchen and a large garden. Each bedroom has a private entrance; both are equipped with a large and comfortable double bed, sofa bed, cd player and hair-dryer. The living room has a TV set, dvd player, cd player and radio, as well as some Cds, dvds, books and games (cards, chess, darts). The large kitchen is well equipped with modern kitchenware, stove, fridge, barbecue set and an old wood-fire oven. A washing machine, an iron and board are available. Additionally, it’s easy to build camping tents in the large garden.

- Renting The Whole House:
When the same family or group is renting both bedrooms, the whole house will belong exclusively to the clients, in order to fully enjoy the Via d’Água experience. Free weekly cleaning.

- Or 2 Independent rooms:
When rented independently, each double bedroom will share the garden, the kitchen and the living room, large enough for all! Free weekly cleaning.
