Welcome to our Large Pet Friendly Holiday Home in the Peak District
Wellwood Lodge is a lovely large Victorian house in the historic spa town of Buxton in Derbyshire's Peak district. This spacious holiday home is ideally situated for experiencing the varied landscape of the Peak District National Park, where rugged moors and pretty dales offer an abundance of activities from walking, cycling, climbing, caving and fishing. The house provides very comfortable self catering holiday accommodation for up to 12 people, and is family and dog friendly. It is ideal for large family or friends group holidays or reunions in the Peak District and Derbyshire.
Our Luxury Peak District Self Catering Accommodation
The delightful big holiday house is arranged over 3 floors. It provides luxurious large group self catering accommodation and sleeps 12 in 6 bedrooms plus 2 under 3's.
There is a very spacious lounge, with coal effect gas fire, satellite enhanced TV, DVD and CD players, an Ipod, and leather lounge seating for everyone to sit in comfort. Occasional tables and lamps add to the ambience.
The dining room has a large square table seating 12, graced with elegant white contemporary crockery. The large Lazy Susan is a fun talking point!
The well equipped kitchen has ample work surfaces and storage, an electric Neff oven, grill and microwave, a range style 6 burner gas hob and 2 electric ovens with grills, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. There are pots, pans, a Kenwood chef, Kenwood commercial food processor, Panasonic bread maker and every utensil to make light work of food preparation. The kitchen leads through to the recently renovated Victorian style conservatory with sitting area, and door to rear garden. In the basement is a small games area with dart board, 1/4 snooker table and football game.
On the first floor are 4 bedrooms, 1 en suite king size double, 1 king size with washbasin, 1 twin, 1 double. There is a shower room and a bathroom. On the second floor are 2 further bedrooms, a twin and a double room with extra single bed, to allow for twin sleeping.

Our large holiday home is located in Buxton, in Derbyshire, in the heart of the Peak District National Park. If you're after a cultural break, our large Peak District holiday cottage is convenient to the town's famous sights - Buxton boasts lovely parks and gardens, a wonderful theatre, a stunning opera house, shopping arcades and ancient buildings, pubs and restaurants.
Stay at Wellwood Lodge and you will be able to explore beautiful countryside by walking from your door - a scenic reservoir and woodland are just around the corner, while for a longer hike, you can access heather moorland by traversing the many picturesque footpaths.
