West Lane Cottage Pet Friendly Dorset Holiday Cottage, Dorchester holiday cottage

West Lane Cottage is a warm and welcoming cottage in an unspoilt country village.   Piddlehinton is within easy reach of both the County town of Dorchester and the coast and is an ideal base for exploring West Dorset.  The cottage was built using reclaimed materials and good use has been made of the same inside.  We offer a cosy lounge with beams and feature fireplace with electric "wood burner", satellite TV with inbuilt dvd, and wi-fi, and, usefully, a second reception room with dvd player and a host of toys and games which offers a play room for the children (in case it rains!) or a quiet reading area.  The kitchen diner is well equipped with electric oven and hob; microwave; dishwasher; washing machine; tumble drier; fridge; freezer; Dolce Gusto coffee machine; IPod docking station and everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday.  There is a downstairs cloakroom. 

Upstairs you will find a double bedroom with plenty of storage and an en suite shower room.  There is a second bedroom with two 2'6" beds, a good size wardrobe and an adjacent bathroom. 

Outside is a private garden which is enclosed and adjoins a bridle path which will take you on walks near and far, with or without, four legged friends.  The shortest round trip will lead you first to the Millennium Green play area and then to the Thimble Inn where you will be assured good food and a warm welcome.  Adult well behaved dogs are welcome at £15 per head.

We will provide all bed linen and towels and all fuel costs are included in our pricing.

There is a village shop and post office in the next door village of Piddletrenthide (1.8 miles) and a further choice of pubs.  Nearby places of interest include: Dorchester; Poundbury; Cerne Abbas;  Athelhampton House and Gardens; Kingston Maurward Animal Farm and Gardens; the Tolpuddle Martyrs Museum; Minterne House and Gardens; the Tank Museum and Maiden Castle.
