From the gorgeous local green-slate in the stylish contemporary bathroom through to the warmth of the oak and limestone in the well equipped kitchen, the sensitive use of natural and local materials makes this little appartment a real gem.

The master bedroom is dual aspect with a sumptious 4ft6in Hypnos double-bed with crisp plain linens. Completely refurbished for 2012 this room features a bespoke oak furnishings and is half-panelled in T&G borads painted in pale Farrow and Ball colours, giving the room a coastal-chic feel. The smaller single bedroom features built in oak wardrobes with a 3ft wall-bed so that this room can make a very comfortable single, or a dressing room for the master or take a cot. Guests have a choice on how this room is used and it is prepared appropriately for arrival. The large living/dining room has a comfortable sofa and leather armchair in which to relax and watch the ever-changing mountain views or curl up infront of the flickering flames of the Jotul gas stove. At the rear of this room is the slick, gloss-white kitchen with corner sink, Neff oven and ceramic hob, integrated dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer and microwave. 

Attention to detail makes this a real home-from-home with many extras such as towels, detergents and toiletries provided - plus a warm welcome with flowers and a bottle of wine!

A parking space is available immediately outside the property, and with only one step inside the property - this appartment is ideal for those looking for "living-on-the-level"! The lovely fellside garden with tumbling stream is shared with the very friendly and helpful owners (who live above the appartment, so on hand if you need anything during your stay) - but there is a grass patio with garden furniture for guests sole use just a few paces from the cottage door. The garden and seating area have lovely views of Brotherswater.

Willow cottage is located in Hartsop, which is a small hamlet near Patterdale and Glenridding, ideal for exploring Ullswater and Helvellyn. It is also conveniently located at the foot of the Kirkstone pass for easy access by car to Windermere and Ambleside.
