Coniston, lies to the west of Windermere, in Cumbria. It is a pictureseque village set in the splendour of the Lake District. As well as the lake and surrounding fells, the village is also famous for the various attempts of the Campbell family to set the world speed record on Coniston Water, the third largest lake in the Lake District.
