The Isle of Mull (and Iona) lies just off the west of Scotland and is reached via Oban. You can also get ferries to Mull from Lochaline and Kilchoan. It offers a great standard of accommodation but can get quite busy during the summer months of July and August so it is best to book ahead. It is the second largest island of the Inner Hebrides and offers breathtaking scenery, waterfalls and picturesque towns and villages. The main village of Tobermory - with its distinctive colourful shorefront houses and shops - is home to the only whisky distillery on the island. While on Mull, visit Duart Castle the ancestral home of the Clan Maclean.
