Arrochar is situated at the head of Loch Long and is surrounded by mountains - the Arrochar Alps. It is quite near Glasgow so it can get quite busy during the summer but in quieter months can also provide a quiet getaway that is easily and quickly reached. The mountains include five Munros and several Corbetts including “The Cobbler” (also known as Ben Arthur).
