There are also Fjords on the East of coast of Iceland. Fjords are deep inlets carved into a coastline by a glacier. The environment is unspoiled with high steep mountains and deep fjords and valleys. The picturesque landscape has birds like puffins, eagles and arctic terns, arctic foxes where visitors can see them in there natural habitat. The fjords are ideal for hiking and there are many guided tours available.
