Lands End in Cornwall, is the most westerly point of mainland England. It has become very commercialised now, and is visited by thousands of tourists every year, most simply to have their photo taken by the famous sign, updated every year and often missing pieces!
It is therefore the traditional start (or end) point for the Land’s End to John O'Groats long distance walk the length of the UK mainland, to John O’Groats in Scotland.
