Stop at the church of Notre Dame at the bridge with foundations from the 13 century.
In rue d’Espagne which climbs towards Roncevaux, you can find the architecture of the traders and artisans, and the chisseled lintels in grey pink stone from Arradoy.
At the top of the long road you can view the city from the ramparts and as the night falls see St Jean Pied de Port with another eye as the roads become illuminated.
