Welcome to Duddings Country Holiday Cottages, our family and dog friendly holiday cottages in the Exmoor National Park, and just 3 miles from the coast. We have 12 holiday cottages offering 4 star self catering holiday accommodation, with each cottages sleeping from 2 to 16/18 people.  Visit England  4 star. Facilities including an indoor heated swimming pool & spa bath, hard tennis court, games room, trampoline, children's play area & football net.

The Holiday Cottages

We have 12 self catering cottages available, including the The West Wing, which sleeps 12 in 6 bedrooms. This is greater part of a traditionally built thatched Devon longhouse dating back to the 16th century and is Grade II listed.

The 11 other holiday cottages, which sleep from 2 to 16/18 people are mostly grouped around a courtyard in a lovely setting with views of the wooded hills and scattered fields. The cottages have been beautifully converted from old stone barns and stables. The ancient beams and stone walls have been retained and enhanced by the provision of comfortable and stylish furniture, and excellent decorations.  All the cottages are equipped to the highest standards, with TVs, videos, dvd’s, microwaves, hairdryers, irons and ironing boards, and all have individually controlled central heating via our biomass boiler.

Our Facilities

The superb facilities at Duddings country cottages include a hard tennis court,indoor heated swimming pool & spa bath, games room (pool table, table tennis table & table football), trampoline, football net & childrens Play Centre (2-story playhouse with swings, slide, fireman’s pole & assault course). There is an information room with a payphone, brochures, children's books, videos & DVDs. There are eight acres of land to explore, with picnic areas, and a safe river where you may spot a brown trout! This is a marvellous spot for a family holiday in an area which has so much to offer.

Our Location

The cottages, just outside Timberscombe near Dunster & Minehead in Somerset are set in a stunning unspoiled rural location, with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Duddings offers all the ingredients for a memorable holiday in the beautiful Exmoor National Park. Being just 3 miles from the coast, Duddings is an ideal base from which to explore the 600 miles of local public footpaths and bridleways across Somerset, Devon and the whole of the South West of England. Many picturesque villages and harbours lie within easy reach, and the famous ponies and red deer can be found on the moor. The medieval village of Dunster is only 2 miles away, and is well worth exploring for its castle, priory, church, tithe barn, dovecote, water mill, and the famous Yarn Market.
