Penyrallt Fach Farm Self Catering Cottage West Wales Family friendly Pet/Dog Friendly Holiday Cottage for romantic breaks in Llandysul, Carmarthenshire, Wales
Penyrallt Fach is a delightful cottage on a secluded organic dairy farm in rural west Wales. Sleeping 4, it has a wood-burning stove, hot-tub, free WiFi & is dog- friendly and a perfect base for discovering the lovely Welsh coast & countryside.
If you are looking for a real country holiday this pretty, quirky cottage offers attractive and comfortable accommodation for up to 4 people seeking a relaxing stay in the tranquillity of the countryside. With fields and woods on the doorstep, the superb beaches of Cardigan Bay only 30 minutes away & the lack of city lights providing great opportunities for wonderful star-gazing on clear nights, the cottage is a haven of peace and calm at any time of the year
With cheerfully coloured decor the cottage has an open-plan kitchen/sitting-room with a wood-burning stove. The well-equipped artisan kitchen has a ceramic-hob electric cooker, fridge, micro-wave oven, toaster, electric kettle, all necessary utensils, china, cutlery & glass and a large farmhouse table with seating for 4.
The two comfortable sofas and the wood-burner are perfect for relaxing after long days on the beach or walking in the hills. There is a dvd player, a large selection of dvds, books & board-games, a radio & free WiFi. With no tv. reception staying in Penyrallt Fach Cottage is an ideal escape from the stresses of everyday life.
.There is a private wood-fired hot tub for guests to use...sit out with a glass of wine and watch the stars.
On arrival guests will find a home-baked cake & fresh flowers from the garden on the table.
The two bedrooms, a double & a twin, are simply & attractively furnished. All the beds are provided with cosy organic wool duvets and locally woven Welsh wool counterpanes.
The bathroom has a bath, wash-basin, lavatory, washing machine & heated towel-rail.
Oil-fired central heating is available from 1st October - 1st May.
All fuel for the wood-burner & hot-tub, central heating, electricity, bed-linen, towels & WiFi are included in the price.
Eco- friendly basic household items including washing-up liquid, laundry liquid etc. are supplied.
The cottage has its own enclosed lawned garden with views over a paddock with a pond and the valley and is adjacent to but quite separate from the attractive 17th century farmhouse.
The wood-fired hot tub is situated behind the cottage in the lawned garden and is available for guests to use at any time.
. The farm & cottage are supplied with water from pure natural springs on the farm. The water is quality tested annually.
One well-behaved dog is welcome at a charge of £15. (We do ask that dogs are not left unattended in the cottage at any time. Many of the pubs, cafes and attractions in the area are dog-friendly.)
Short breaks are available from £195 for 3 nights except during school holidays, July, August, Christmas, New Year & Easter.
We regret that the cottage is not suitable for children under 5 years of age.
The cottage is an ideal base from which to explore the rich and varied landscapes of west Wales at any time of the year. The wonderful beaches of Cardigan Bay & north Pembrokeshire are within easy reach and there are many delightful small market towns with interesting independent shops in the area, including Wales' oldest university town of Lampeter & the pretty river-side town of Newcastle Emlyn. Ancient sites and historic castles abound as well as beautiful wild empty moors, enchanting oak woodlands, rivers and secret valleys to be found for lovely days out exploring this little-known corner of Wales. There are many museums, gardens, art & craft studios & galleries to visit and a number of award-winning artisan food-producers are in the area. Several National Trust properties, the National Botanic Garden of Wales & Aberglasney Historic Gardens are also well worth visiting.
