Ullswater Navigation and Transit Company Limited started operating steamer services in 1859 carrying mail, provisions and passengers around the Lake. Now you can follow the same routes from Glenridding to Howtown and Pooley Bridge and back.
Relax and enjoy the splendour of "England's most beautiful Lake", Ullswater. When you reach your destination you can either walk back along the lake shore or enjoy the local sights and catch the steamer home again!
The views from the lake are breathtaking, with the majesty of the Helvellyn Range to the west, and the towering splendour of Place Fell to the east.
