This elegant & picturesque station has a unique character & charm. Set above Tavistock town with breathtaking views from the beautifully restored station over wild Dartmoor. The 5* Station now offers spacious & stylish self-catering accommodation,
The Ticketing Hall is located in the centre of the Station. The spacious entrance hall is laid with beautiful Victorian tiles. The original panelling and ticket windows remain and now form a wall between the lounge and kitchen diner. The lounge retains the original close boarded vaulted ceiling, a sky light streams sunlight into the room and additional lighting is provided by a chandelier. The original Victorian cast iron fireplace and over mantel takes pride of place. Leather sofas and Victorian furniture help recreate a Victorian feel, reminiscent of the Station’s past.
The Hall family from Newcastle Upon Tyne, Porter's Office and Ticketing Hall - An absolutely beautiful cottage, we have had wonderful weekend in this unique property. Very comfortable and just perfect.
