MT. Rushmore National Memorial, America's "shrine of democracy" is located in the Black Hills of South Dakota. A majestic 60 -feet of granite carving, of four of the country's most influential presidents. Gift shops, restaurant, Visitor's Center, information center, walking trail that gets you close up to the base of the faces. The monument is open every day but Christmas or when snows are to heavy and deep. In the summer you can enjoy the ligthing ceremony that happens nightly. No admission, fee, but there is a parking fee.
