Photography Courses in the Scottish Highlands Photography in Killin, Perth and Kinross, Scotland

If you are looking to either get started in photography or improve your existing skills then we offer a range of courses from a 1/2 day introductory to a 4 day master class in a range of photographic subjects, all set in the stunning Scottish Highlands. Location work will take us to areas such as Rannoch Moor and Glencoe to experience some of the Highlands most glorious scenery.

You can choose from personalised 1-2-1 tuition or a small group course for up to 6 individuals, all designed to inspire rather than instruct and to provide you with the tools that will allow you to learn from your own confidence and experiences.

Courses are based near Killin in Perthshire in the Scottish Highlands as a package with self catering accommodation at Wester Lix Cottages or full board at a local hotel. We also offer non residential tuition at a location convenient to the individual or group, these courses are arranged as required.

Introductory Courses.

Half and Full day courses supplied on demand in either Landscape or Portraiture, ideal for individuals looking to get more from the camera. Tuition is either 1-2-1 or for small groups as required.

Intermediate Courses.

2 day small group courses for those with some experience looking to take their skills to the next level. Available as an addition to self catering guests or as a fully residential package.

4 day Masterclass.

The most intensive course for small groups covering manual camera control, understanding light, creative effects and basic digital printing.

Studio Fine Art Workshops

A 2 day workshop in a photographic art studio aimed at artists and photographers looking to create fine art images with their camera. Covers creative camera control with natural and studio lighting using still life and figure subjects. Finishes with a session on fine art printing.

Digital developing and printing workshop.

Taking your existing files from camera to print. A 2 day workshop looking at all aspects of the process from the initial file management to creating the final professional print.
