Kingfisher Retreat Bourne Lincolnshire Family friendly Holiday Home for romantic breaks ideal for fishing in Bourne, Lincolnshire, England
Townhouse best suited for families including extended or multi-generational in residential area close to centre. Three levels providing ensuite master, plus 2 other bedrooms with shared bathroom + additional sitting room with sofa bed.
Ideally for a large family or two families/extended relatives the new townhouse situated a few streets from the market town centre of Bourne, Lincolnshire consists of three levels.
For the head couple of the household enjoy the top level exclusively, with king size bed, ensuite with shower, cuddle chair to sit and gaze along the Bourne Eau at the point it becomes the River Glen. This waterway has its aquifer source less than a mile away at the Wellhead in Bourne.
The house is in the centre of 11 townhouses recently named Mays Wharf by the developer. Mays refers to Raymond Mays (BRM) and wharf refers to the history of the 100 yards of the Bourne Eau. From 1890 to 1950 the waters were navigable and barges from the Wash and Kings Lynn would moor at this very site and offload raw materials used for production of leather goods. A neighboring street called Tannery Close is a remaining descriptive of activity here which spanned 75 years.
The middle level contains 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom which share a full bathroom with tub and shower. In addition on this level there is a recreation room with T.V. For the larger family the 2 seat sofa converts to a bed for one adult or two children. Let us know how you would like the recreation room set up for your stay. Of course you can adjust as best fits.
The ground floor level contains the utility/mud room next to the front door with washer and dryer and sink and clothes hanging rails for airing. A convenient half bath and ample storage is off the entrance hallway. At the rear of the house is the living room with double French doors at arms length from the Bourne Eau. Completing the open plan running the full width of the house is the dining area and fully fitted kitchen with its own double French doors. Outside these doors is the decking revealing four seats and bistro table. Relaxing here takes you back in time, a glance upstream reveals the outdoor area of the nearby pub, The Anchor, itself with a story of the past. Owners Taras and Dawn would love to welcome you.
The dining table seats six comfortably or, if in extended position, your full complement. At the beginning of the day gather for breakfast to fuel for your venturing forth or re-energize in the evening after excursions to your preferred area attractions listed here.
In summary:
top level - private king size master with ensuite
middle level - two or three bedrooms, 1 double, 1 twin, 1 double pull out sofa (kids/ 2 smaller adults) in recreation room
ground level - Kitchen/diner, sitting room, cloakroom, utility room, outdoors bistro area.
