Newcastle
Newcastle and Gateshead are the hub on the North-East of England. Officially in Tyne and Wear, they are traditionally part of the county of Northumberland. From there historical positions as the industrial heartland of the north-east, they are now considered cosmopolitan urban areas with significant urban regeneration for example on the Quayside and the Tyne Bridges, and cultural development for example with the Baltic Exchange and the Sage centre. Also home to St James Park, home to Newscastle united football club.
