The town of Kendal is in the south of Cumbria. It provides a good range of shops, restaurants and bars, as well as many interesting places to visit and things to do, ranging from museums and visitor centres including the Kendal Museum, to the Lakeland Climbing Centre. It is also of course the home of that staple snack for all outdoor enthusiats, Kendal Mint Cake!
